Depending on the floor type and installation method, appropriate accessories are required for luxury vinyl flooring. These include underlayment for click vinyl, adhesives for glue-down planks, notched trowels for adhesive application, skirting boards for wall finishes, and suitable care products for routine cleaning.

An underlayment is especially useful for floating click vinyl or SPC. It can reduce impact sound, improve walking comfort, and support the click connection. It is important that the underlay is thin, pressure-resistant, and approved for the specific vinyl floor.

Vinyl adhesive is required when glue-down planks are bonded to the subfloor over the entire surface. The appropriate notched trowel ensures that the adhesive is applied evenly and in the correct quantity. A cleanly prepared, level subfloor is particularly important for thin glue-down planks.

Robust skirting boards in matching decors or neutral colors are suitable for vinyl floors. They cover the expansion joint, protect the lower wall area, and provide a clean transition between the floor and the wall. The room looks particularly harmonious when the decor, profile, and height match the floor selection.

Luxury vinyl floors should be cleaned dry regularly and mopped with a damp cloth. Harsh cleaners, scouring agents, and standing water should be avoided. For routine cleaning, care products that are explicitly suitable for vinyl or luxury flooring are recommended.
