G-Park Maxi XL 2-Layer
G-Park Maxi XL 2-Layer is a high-quality two-layer parquet for full-surface gluing. The XL format beautifully showcases the wood surface and provides a calmer, more plank-like floor appearance than narrower parquet formats.
Due to the wider and longer elements, the surface appears more elongated and spacious, while technically remaining a 2-layer parquet for firm bonding to the subfloor. In this way, G-Park Maxi XL combines a modern plank effect with the manageable installation height of a finished parquet.

Advantages of G-Park Maxi XL 2-Layer
-
Stable 2-layer construction
The two-layer construction combines a real wood wear layer with a stabilizing base layer and is designed for full-surface gluing. -
Spacious XL format
The wider plank ensures a calm, clear installation pattern and is well-suited when a high-quality parquet floor with a pronounced plank look is desired. -
Oak and Smoked Oak
The choice between oak and smoked oak allows for different natural tones – from classically warm to darker and more expressive. -
Various surfaces and gradings
Grading and surface can be chosen to suit the desired floor character – from calm and elegant to livelier and more distinctive. -
Suitable for underfloor heating
G-Park Maxi XL 2-Layer can be installed over hot-water underfloor heating given a suitable subfloor and adhesive.
Wood species, surface and format
With G-Park Maxi XL, the wood surface appears particularly present due to the larger format. Therefore, the wood species and grading determine not only the color tone, but also how calm, natural, or characterful the surface eventually appears.
Wood species
The wood species gives the floor its fundamental effect. Oak shows a classic, natural plank look, while smoked oak appears darker and more expressive. Due to the XL format, grain, color variation, and structure stand out more extensively than with smaller parquet formats.
Select G-Park Maxi XL 2-Layer by surface
The surface influences the look, feel, and maintenance. Oiled surfaces emphasize the natural wood structure and have an open-pore effect. Brushed surfaces highlight the grain more strongly. White-oiled variants appear lighter, while matte lacquered surfaces appear calmer and more closed.
Grading
The grading determines how even or lively the floor appears. Project appears natural and versatile, while Classic Dark brings a darker, more distinctive character. Calmer gradings go well with clear, elegant floor concepts, while livelier gradings show more knots, color variation, and natural features.
Construction and format
G-Park Maxi XL 2-Layer consists of a real wood wear layer and a stabilizing support layer. The two-layer construction is designed for full-surface gluing and remains easy to plan despite its generous plank effect.
Compared to G-Park Maxi, G-Park Maxi XL appears calmer and stronger in the direction of plank flooring due to the larger elements. The surface remains clearly structured, but shows less small-scale parquet effect and more generous wood surface.
Tip: If the XL format could appear too wide or dominant for the room, G-Park Maxi 2-Layer would be a somewhat finer alternative. If the plank look is to be maintained, but with a narrower width, the G-Park 2-Layer solid wood plank could also be considered.
Technical planning notes
For full-surface gluing, G-Park Maxi XL 2-Layer requires a level, load-bearing, clean, and sufficiently dry subfloor. Residual moisture, flatness, and strength should be checked before installation so that the floor lies quietly and the bonding can be carried out professionally.
For larger formats, the installation pattern should also be planned early on. Room axes, cuts, and edge areas influence how calm and even the XL planks appear in the overall surface later.
Due to the full-surface gluing, G-Park Maxi XL 2-Layer is firmly connected to the subfloor and is also suitable for hot-water underfloor heating. Supplementary notes can be found in our Parquet and underfloor heating leaflet.
